Thrombexx® DNA Cream
recombinant Hirudin
COMPOSITION :
Each 100 gm contains 1120 I.U. of recombinant Hirudin.
INDICATIONS :
Contusions, distortions, muscular tears, traumatic hematomas, edema, erythema, varicosities, periphlebitis and anal periphlebitis with hemorrhoids especially those associated with thrombo – embolic complications.
MODE OF ACTION :
1 -The active ingredient Hirudin ( recombinant ) is a direct thrombin inhibitor that acts as anticoagulant & for the prevention and treatment of hematomas.
2 -Hirudin binds thrombin in a 1: 1 ratio blocking the coagulation
cascade & preventing the transformation of fibrinogen to fibrin.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS :
known hypersensitivity against components
SIDE EFFECTS :
Not described in literature, neither found in the practical clinical.
The use, particularly long term of topical products may cause
sensitization phenomena.
DOSE :
– Dispense 2-3 cm of cream, two – three times per day and carry out
a light massage until complete absorption.
– Local rectal application for hemorrhoids using the supplied dispenser two to three times per day.
OVERDOSE :
The product is for external use only. In case of accidental ingestion
of Thrombexy” it is suggested to seek medical advice for treatment
of poisoning.
