Composition :
Each 100 ml contains: Ivermectin 1 gm
Description :
Iverzine is an effective & safe therapeutic of human scabies & head lice. Ivermectin is a semisynthetic derivative of one of the avermectins, a group of macrocyclic lactones produced by soil bacterium streptomyces avermitilis.
Pharmacological action :
Ivermectin binds selectively to glutamate – gated chloride channels that occur In Invertebrate nerve and muscle cells (not found In the human cells) this leads to Increase In permeability of cell membrane to chloride ions and hyperpolarization of nerve or muscle cell membrane, resulting in paralysis and death of parasite (Sarcoptis Scabei or Pediculus Humanus).
Indications :
In cases of scabies which do not respond to other medications.
Contra-indications :
Only If there a case of known hypersensitivity to Ivermectin.
Side effects :
Iverzine lotion is well tolerated, rarely some rashes or itching may occur in some patients.
Dosage :
In case infested by Sarcoptis Scabei:
Apply single topical application of Iverzine covering whole body except face – at night after hot soapy bath with rough brushing to be repeated after 7 days.
In case Infested by Pediculus Humanus .
Single application of Iverzine Lotion to the scalp after head shower, to be repeated after 7 days.
Packing :
Iverzine lotion is available In plastic bottle 60, 120 ml + leaflet.
Storage :
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30·C.
