Diosmin Film Coated Tablet
Composition :
Each Film coated tablet contains:
Active ingredients:
Micronized Diosmin 450 mg
Hesperidin 50 mg
Inactive Ingredients:
Microcrystalline cellulose ( avicel PH 101 ) , lactose monohydrate, sodium cross carmellose, Aerosil 200 , PVP K 25 , magnesium stearate, HPMC 5 CPS,polyethylene glycol 4000, titanium dioxide
Ponceau red (E 124 ) , FD & C yellow No. 10
Therapeutic indications :
This medicine is a venotonic (if increases venous tone) and a vasculoprotector (it increase resistance in small blood vessels)
It is recommended for treating venous circulation disorders (swollen legs, pain, restless legs )and for treating symptoms due to acute hemorrhoial attack. It is indicated in the treatment of functional menorrhagia and premenstrual syndrome
Side effects :
Some cases of routine gastric disorders and neurovegetative disorders (feeling of discomfort) have been reported, not requiring discontinuation of treatment Report any unwanted or undesirable effects which has not been mentioned in this package insert to your doctor or your pharmacist
Precautions :
Acute hemorrhoidal attack: if the hemorrhoid symptoms do not disappear within 15 days
you should ask your doctor for advice
Venous circulation disorders :
The most effective way of giving this treatment is in combination with a healthy lifest le avoid exposure to the sun , heat, excessive standing and being over – weight. walking and wearing special support stocking stimulate blood circulation If you are in any doubt, do not hesitate to ask your doctor or your pharmacist for advice
Interactions with other medicines and other forms of interactions:
You must always tell your doctor or your pharmacist about any other treatment you are receiving
Pregnancy – Breast feeding :
Inform your doctor if you become pregnant
In the absence of data on entering breast milk, breast feeding should be avoided during. treatment
In general, if you are pregnant or breast feeding, you should always ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using medication.
Dosage & method of administration :
Oral route
The tablets should be taken at meal times
Venous insufficiency
2 tablets daily, one at midday and one in the evening
Acute hemorrhoidal attack :
A 4-day course of 6 tablets daily, followed by tablets daily over the next 3 days
In all cases strictly comply with your doctor’s prescription

Carton box containing 1 or 3 (ALlPVC) strips each of 10 tablets & insert leaflet
Store at room temperature
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the outer packaging
Keep all medicaments out of reach of children
