Immunvita oral drops echinacea purpurea extract
Composition :
The 25 ml bottle contains:
Extract of Echinacea purpurea 4.7 gm.
Active constituents
Water-soluble immunostimulating polysaccharides, Immuno stimulating glycoproteins, volatile oil, caffeic and ferulic acid derivatives (Echinosides), Alkamides, Polynes & pyrolizidine alkaloides.
Indications :
Dietary supplement to improve the functions of the immune system.
Dose :
For age 1-4 years: 5 drops (1/4 ml), two to four times daily For age 4-12 years: 10 drops (1/2 ml), three to four times daily.
For elderly patients: 20 drops (1ml) three times daily For 7 to 14 days or as prescribed by the doctor
Contraindications :
– Echinacea is contraindicated in Patients with autoimmune diseases e.g multiple sclerosis, collagenoses .. etc.
– Patients who are allergic to any of echinacea constituents.
Side effects :
Health risks or side effects following the proper adminstration of designated therapeutic dosage are not recorded.
Drug drug interactions :
Echinacea may interfere with immuno suppressive therapy e.g Azathioprine and Cyclosporine.
